Jennifer is a Los Angeles based screenwriter and a generally lovely person. She is currently at large in England.

Hampstead Heath with my friend Tim. Miles of fields and views and even a few dingly dells. Bunnies, segregated swimming ponds and even a puppy named Tiger that Tim and I conspired to kidnap.

Oh, and some of the most amazing flowers ever. The colors and patterns are just more proof that “God is in the details.”

Post number 200 and I suppose it’s supposed to be important. A milestone. Each minute feels like a milestone. I am surrounded by loving family and friends and each second I find gifts, left just for me. Lucky me. So on this Wednesday here is a GPOHM…gratuitous picture of happy me.
I’m off to Notting Hill for several days. Lucky ‘ol me. Staying in a friend’s flat just like I’ve always envisioned. Ceiling to floor windows that open upon a tiny curved Georgian street. Chandeliers and delicate crown molding, lovely. A place where I will write and maybe escape to Kensington Park when I need to see the sky, because my life isn’t fabulous and lovely enough. Portobello Market in the am on Friday (when the locals go - Saturday is way too crowded since the movie with HG & JR) and perhaps later a pub called Cow where apparently all the handsome men in London convene - not that I’m the slightest bit disappointed by the handsome men I’ve met in the last few days. I <3 London. Yes, oh, yes, I love it here.
Thank you. For everything. No really. Thank you.

And on the last night we celebrated my birthday. It was a whirlwind adventure, seeing all of those countries and experiencing all of the history and I’m so happy that my mother and her husband invited me along for the fun. It was a lovely and generous gift and quite a birthday! Many thanks and much love.

Gdansk, Poland.

Red Ensign naval flag. I just love flags. In case you hadn’t noticed…

Kronborg Castle AKA Hamlet’s Castle. Helsingor, Denmark.

Schwerin, Germany. Schlossmuseum and perpetual clock in the cathedral.

The British Museum. My second trip and will probably go again. So much to see.

I fell in love with the statues from The Parthenon, these headless goddesses in particular, the fluidity and motion despite being inert and made of marble.

The ceiling inside the atrium/reading room is also so brilliant and graphic and beautiful.

An Easter Island statue that felt more powerful than really anything I have ever seen. Probably all that it has witnessed, all the prayers it has absorbed.
